I'm way too into the Gosselins

It's almost 11:00 at night and I am currently trying to rid my mind of Jon and Kate marriage troubles. As if I don't have enough going on in my own little world to worry over, now I am taking on the marital strife of two people I have never met but feel like I know pretty well. I don't want to write too much about this because, well, it's embarrassing that I care so much. I do have to say, though, that after watching the season premiere tonight and just seeing the pain and hurt in their voices it was just about all I could take. They are so sad. Ugh. I feel like I got kicked in the gut.

What has my world come to that I am troubled by things that happen to the Nick and Jessicas and Jon and Kates of the world? I think I need to step away from the People magazine.

Rest assured, you're not the only one! Jason and I have watched bits and pieces of the series marathon this weekend and then watched the season premiere tonight.

Ugh. Just....ugh.

The whole show has turned into a cautionary tale for our marriage because I realize that all too easily I could turn into a woman just as bitter, nagging, and critical as Kate. We had some really good discussions tonight about husband and wive's roles in a marriage, needs, etc.

More than anything, my heart just goes out to those kids. I mean, by the end of the episode, it almost sounded like they'd both completely checked out of the marriage and that they were headed towards divorce! How does that translate to making sure your kids are "healthy, safe and loved"?

Sorry to ramble on...maybe you don't need to write a post, you could just copy and paste this comment :)

Buffy, I was equally engrossed in it all, and feeling kind of pathetic about my emotional investment in it all.
Wasn't it weird what a prominent role the "papparazi" played in the show last night. It seems like such a dramatic change from previous seasons.

Jon and Kate's body language while being interviewed together doesn't bode well...

My sister is obsessed with the show and is consequently so distraught. While on vacation, I caught a repeat of the season premiere and even I got choked up. It's terribly sad.
